I have been playing around with Slackware64-current lately (specifically for ARM processors), and I like to keep an eye on the changelog.
I noticed some interesting changes in the log today. If I am reading things correctly, it seems like several of the packages that are removed to make Freenix have recently been removed (or moved to /extras) for the same licensing reasons. Specifically, lha was removed entirely and replaced with lhasa. while getty-ps, xfractint, and xv were moved to /extra, all citing licensing reasons.
I just found it interesting and thought it deserved a mention here.
