Long story short: The README file that is included with the iso gets copied over to the mirror as README.TXT. The torrent was created with just a README file in place, so the webseed generated by the rsync process doesn't work with the torrent file as is.
I've created a new torrent file and magnet link.
https://freeslack.space/stuff/freeslack64-14.2-iso.torrent
magnet link: magnet:?xt=urn:btih:87e55a435a81992e69892792ef476159b70d331f&dn=freeslack64-14.2-iso&tr=udp%3a%2f%2ftracker.coppersurfer.tk%3a6969%2fannounce&ws=https%3a%2f%2fmirror.freeslack.space%2ffxp-iso%2ffreeslack64-14.2-iso%2f
The old magnet/torrent still works, and still serves up the same content, so no worries there. It's just that this one works better with the webseed. Same content, better service. What's not to like?

The new one is broken: .____padding_file/3 is corrupt so the torrent reaches 100% but immediately goes back to 99.9%. There is no reason to even have such files in a normal torrent; Slackware ones certainly don't.

Well, I am still seeding the older torrents anyway. That latest one was an attempt to use archive.org as the webseed. Yes, they pad all of their torrent files, it is an internal thing they do to allow for additions to collections, or something like that. If the padding file is the *only* corrupted file, then throw it away and what remains is good and valid. Even better, if you are using a bittorrent client that allows you to select the content, just deselect the padding files and don't even bother downloading them in the first place, they are completely unnecessary, as you mentioned.
Or just go back to using my older torrents, I never stopped seeding those.
Thanks for the report in any case.

That is strange to hear. I always used those files as my reference installers, and I had to redownload them several times over the years (through the torrents each time). The checksums and signatures always worked for me, and so did the ISO file. But, if it is broken on the other side for some reason, then I guess it is not working as a distribution method.
I can stop seeding the torrents, but that will not remove them from the network. It will be impossible to stop others from seeding it. One of them is still quite active, I get uploads on it every other week or so. And the original webseed still gets hit on a regular basis too.
But, if you think I should stop seeding, then okay, I suppose I can do that.
