Now that the name has moved away from FreeSlack, any thoughts on some changes for the 15.0 release?
Possible only using KDE or Mate for DE?
Only including desktop software i.e. from the server software?
Or just continuing as a stock Slackware release, removing non-free software and blobs?

Even if there was a good reason to do this, I personally lack in both time and expertise to tinker with the software selections. We started this project because we were basically satisfied with Slackware in every major way except for the nonfree blob part, and for me at least, that hasn't changed. We do, however, provide a binary repo and an in-house installer (freepkg) which is entirely over and beyond the full install of Slackware. I am planning on polishing that some more and including it into slackpkg package in $NEXT_RELEASE. We also have our work cut out for us in the re-branding department Smile

I myself have been using Slackware sense 11.0, but I only use it on my personal computers, not having a need for server packages.
Having said that Slackware has always been my favorite.
Can't wait for the new release to load on my libreboot X200 Razz

Just download slackware64-current, remove the 27 known blobs (I like customizing the tagfiles for this), install gnu-libre-linux-kernel, and you got Freenix64-15!
I did this for headless minimal server config with less than 60 packages, and little to rebuild -- doing that for my desktop config would be too much work, and by the time I was done, actual slackware64-15 would be released and I would have to rebuild again...
